This page is intended to provide links to a series of pages which will list SR kits for rolling stock, and modified R-T-R models, and will include items currently available and some that may now be discontinued. These pages will include all types of locomotives, multiple units, passenger and goods stock which were built and/or operated by the SR (Southern Railway) or one of its constituents or one of its successors (e.g. BR Southern Region, and the present day TOCs - Train Operating Companies).

No differentiation is made between different sub-classes of a scale so that, for example, all 2mm and N gauge listings come under the general heading of 2mm and 00, EM, P4 and etc. under the general heading of 4mm. Due to the very minimal interest in H0 for British Outline models, this scale is being omitted though Bill Bedford has an extensive list which may be viewed at: www.mousa-models.co.uk and Worsley Works has items at: www.worsleyworks.co.uk1-87/1-87_Scale_Index.htm.

Of course, the scope of this index is very wide and will never be complete. The plan is to release parts of it as they become available and ask the members of SREmG to help complete each part. Please feel free to e-mail with any suggestions for additions, corrections or improvement.

Remember that whilst some kits come with all that is required to build a particular model, others may just be "body line" requiring a separate chassis purchase/construction, or maybe just "scratch aids" that require a lot more than just a chassis.

N.B. This list comprises kits known to have been manufactured, but the inclusion of any particular kit does not mean that it is currently available, though there may well be second-hand versions around, whilst others may still be in the planning stage.
