Still needs cab floor and back head added. It took a little
while to get the spring on the leading bogie right to sort out the weight
distribution over the driving wheels, but got there in the end. |

Modelled in early unsaturated condition. Chassis is early
Triang plate type block with Portescap motor and Romford Wheels.
Coal rails have since been added to the tender. |

West Country Class 4-6-2Nº21C121 Dartmoor,
modified Hornby |
Fitted with original style cab and short deflectors (cut
down Crownline brass). One side is in early British Railways (southern sunshine
lettering) in malachite and as s21C121 the other in 1946 as yet unnamed
condition. Modification carried out a few years ago now, based on earlier type
Hornby Spitfire with a Crownline detailing kit and a 4500 high sided
brass tender from Crownline. |

Maunsell batch fitted with flat sided 5000 gallon tender.
This was bought as a part built kit; the valve gear needed total rebuilding to
work. The model has been stripped and repainted in post war black. |
