This viaduct carries the Chatham line over the River Darenth at Sutton-at-Hone. It was completed in 1860. The viaduct has ten arches, and is built of quite soft yellow bricks. This has required repairs over the years, which have been undertaken using harder, red bricks. As a result, the viaduct has a rather blotchy appearance. British Rail's proposed high-speed line to the Channel Tunnel, from Waterloo International via Peckham, would have crossed the valley on a parallel viaduct.
