Southern Locomotive Spotting Chart

This is only example of this type of chart that I have seen, it is not actually dated but from the reference located within the print code and the number of Merchant Navy and Light Pacifics introduced, it must have been printed during 1947.  Compiled by Frank H.A. Burridge and is an illustrated, complete list of all the named locomotives of the Southern Railway with columns to fill in the place first seen and the date.

Two issues of this collection of Southern Railway Photographs were published in June 1944 and April 1946

Veterans of the Track
This booklet published in 1946 contains a collection of photographs by H.C. Casserley.  All the photographs from the UK and Ireland are of locomotives not less than 50 years old at the time of publication.  Southern Locomotives include a Beattie well tank, LBSC D and A1X class, Adams Radial and a SER Stirling F1.

Locollection
Published in July 1946 this booklet contains a range of locomotive photographs from around the UK.  Southern Locomotives include West Country "Salisbury", King Arthur Sir Mador de la Porte, Merchany Navies Channel Packet and Bibby Line, a Wainwright D class, a Drummond D15 and rather oddly a two coach LBSC overhead ac electric set.
