Fisherton Sarum - Southern Railway MPD 1946-49

An Adams A12 Jubilee class (Nu-cast kit) awaits its next turn of duty. An I3 (Wills kit) is visible in the entrance to the shed awaiting the next duty on a Brighton train. Another Adams, this time a T1 0-4-4T (Craftsman kit), is also visible in background.

The turntable operator's hut and steam oil storage area is in the foreground whilst in the background a team of ash pit workers clear the ash away from around a repainted Bachmann N class.

A second series Merchant NavyNº21C14 Nederland Line (Millholme kit) is turned.

The postman delivers to the freelance cottage, what he hasn't realised yet is that the household's dog has just come between him and his bike that he has left leaning against the railings!

The representation of my grandfather, a ganger at Salisbury, leans on his ballast fork as the PW crew takes a break.
