A snowy Wadhurst station, with typical SER staggered
platforms, photoghraphed during February 1986. Shortly after a train leaves the
down platform (on the left) it will plunge into Wadhurst Tunnel, singled during
September 1985 as part of the Hastings Line electrification. Although the third
rails are in place, electric services did not start for another three months,
during May 1986.

A litter-strewn West Croydon station, circa 1968,
looking towards Windmill Junction. The terminal platform on the left was used
for the Wimbledon line trains, a line that is now part of Croydon Tramlink.

A less littered view of the station, which appears to be in the
process of receiving new lamp posts.

Witley station, on the Portsmouth line between Guildford and
Petersfield. Trains are expected in both directions! Note the
"Banner" signal on the left. These are used to give advanced warning
of the position of a signal that is unsighted for some reason. E.g. the station
buildings, as is the case here.
