Micheldever station, between Basingstoke and Winchester, is seen
here in early 1967 with the third rail in place ready for the coming
electrification. As can be seen there had once been four platform faces and
running lines, allowing trains to pass here. The station had a rather strange
appearance at this time with the buildings devoid of any adjacent tracks and
the signalbox being the only building on the platform serving the remaining
roads.
