One of the level crossing's barriers may be seen on the left of this
photograph. Before the construction of the Crawley bypass this was the main
London to Brighton road, the A23, itself now "bypassed" by the M23.

| The box with an "Open Day" sign. This is in
connection with the Crawley Festival when members of the public have been
invited to visit the box to "Come along and see how an original
Signalbox operated."
