Crawley One of the level crossing's barriers may be seen on the left of this photograph. Before the construction of the Crawley bypass this was the main London to Brighton road, the A23, itself now "bypassed" by the M23.

The box with an "Open Day" sign. This is in connection with the Crawley Festival when members of the public have been invited to visit the box to "Come along and see how an original Signalbox operated."
