Barnstaple Junction, East (A) and West (B)

Barnstaple Junction 'A' (originally East), photographed circa 1961. Opened circa 1887 the name was changed to Barnstaple Junction 'A' in 1949, then became just plain Barnstaple when the 'B' box closed in 1971. The box closed in 1987 with the line to Barnstaple then worked on the No Signalman Key Token system. photograph by John Bradbeer
