L&SWR 1921 Steam Locomotive Headsignals

The headsignals detailed on this page are those set out in the July 1921 London & South Western Railway's Rules. A white disc was shown during daylight hours, and a white lamp during darkness, to designate the following routes/special workings:-

Inspection engine No 733 carried four cast iron discs, white edged with red, one at the top of the smokebox and three on the buffer beam, Dugald Drummond having assumed a variation on the royal head signal South Western trains carried Great Western standard headcodes on the following lines:
